day 36 - note (mostly rambling about sh*t no one cares about...like my food journals)

Too bad I only kept track of calories once this week. I stayed at the same weight so knowing how many calories it took to stay would have been nice.
But the one day I did keep track was almost 1300 so maybe I'll try for 1200 this week and see where that takes me.

So if I have 1200 cals each day that's  8400 calories this week.
0.2 lbs=700 cals.
So if I lose weight this week I'll add 700 cals for every 0.2lbs I lost to my weekly total then subtract 3500 from that, divide by 7 and I'll know how many cals I should try to stick to in a day to lose 1 lb a week.
And if I gain weight this week I'll subtract 700 cals for every 0.2lbs I gained from my weekly total then subtract 3500 from that, divide by 7 and I'll know how many cals I should try to stick to in a day to lose 1 lb a week.

So that means if I have 1200 cals a day this week and stay the same thats
((1200x7)-3500)/7=(8400-3500)/7=4900/7=700
and that's practically starvation cals...So hopefully I don't stay the same...or gain since that would give me even fewer cals a day and may have to change it so I can have more cals and lose less since I can't start burning more a day yet due to coldness and snow. Let's hope it starts to warm up and the snow melts soon.

And I'm going to try to count cals, even if it's just approximate. That way if/when I stay the same again I can take off some more cals from the total I can have a day or add to what I have to burn a day. When I can start going for walks again I'll start with 30 mins a day 5 days a week (since most weeks I do go for a half hour walk twice when I come home from bfs and I'm there most of the day anyway...)

day 33 - Feb 02, 2011 - food diary; note

Hey guys. So the Skinny Girl Diet didn't workout. But I was thinking, why am I doing this? Why do I try to practically starve myself just to lose weight? And the calorie counting? Measuring? It's annoying and I waste of time. So, I'm going to drink my water, try to watch serving sizes and be more active. Now there's still snow out there and it's freezing so I doubt I'll be more active. But anyway...
So I've drank 2 ltrs of water today.
I got up about 10 and at noon I had 2 slices of toast with jelly (300 cals)
around 4 I had 1/4 box of white cheddar kd, 1/4 can of tuna and 1 lrg gtea w/1m 2sw (303)
around 7 I had another 1/4 box of white cheddar kd and 1/4 can of tuna (280)
around 1030 I had oatmeal w/ brown sugar (410)
So I've had 1293 today. I'm going to keep up with it like this. Saturday is the next weigh in and I'm going to continue going like this for the next week. Then I'll add up and calculate approx daily calories it took to get to where ever (whether I stay, lose or gain) then just figure out if I need to cut calories or anything. If I stay I'll cut 250 cals, if I gain I'll figure out how many calories it took to gain that and subtract it from total then cut it by 250 and if I lose I'll stick to those calories. Not getting to eat what I like is getting annoying and I hate how when I cheat by having pudding or cake or anything like that I class it as a cheat day.
